Steanside Limited is a "data controller". This means that we are responsible for deciding how we hold and use data about you. We are required under data protection legislation to notify you of the information contained in this privacy notice. We have a duty to keep your data secure and maintain your confidentiality and we will do so.
Subscription members
When you register with us and pay a subscription to benefit from the music and other services we offer, we will require your email address and a password.
It is also open to you to provide your name. This is not however compulsory to benefit from the services we provide.
The data we will process about our subscription members therefore includes their name, email address, and a password. It also includes details of their membership, type or level of membership, history of membership, correspondence and communications with us, subscriptions paid and due, and details of any complaints or matters involving the member in which we have been involved.
We will also process any other data that members provide to us voluntarily (whether via our website, by email, verbally, or in writing).
We will process this data on the lawful basis that it is necessary for us to do so to perform the contract for subscription membership between us and the member and also that to do so is necessary in the legitimate interests of us as a company and for the member themselves.
Whilst a subscription member makes a payment, payments are taken by Paypal. We do not ever process or hold any bank details.
Visitors to our website
When you visit or use our website (whether as a subscription member, a third party, or a member of the general public), we process information by way of the use of analytics to collect information about you by way of cookies. We believe it is necessary for these cookies to use your data on the lawful basis that it is in the legitimate interests of our organisation for the purpose that we need to use these cookies to monitor use of our website, track the use of our website, to keep our website updated and relevant, to provide services to our subscription members, to develop our business, to inform our marketing strategy and to improve and develop website performance. It is also necessary for us to use these cookies to enhance and assist your experience when visiting our website.

If you use our website to submit information or questions to us, then we will collect and retain the data you send to us on the basis set out above. We will then only use the information you give to us for these purposes.
Retention of data
Subscription Members: We retain all information and data relating to subscription members for so long as the member retains their membership and pays the subscription fee. After a member’s membership has come to an end (by whatever means) we will destroy the data we hold within 3 months of the termination.
Visitors to our website: Please see our Cookie Policy for details of how long we will retain the data taken by the analytics on our website.
Data sharing
The data taken by cookies and also the details taken from subscription members and any information or questions you submit to us will also be shared with our website provider / host Wix. Our relationship with them is that they are a data processor upon our behalf and we have a written agreement in place with them which regulates this processing and which ensures that your data is kept secure.
We may also share data with our legal advisers where we deem it necessary to do so.
Your data will not otherwise be shared with any other third party without your consent.
Your rights
We are obliged to ensure that the data we hold about you is correct. You have the right to ask for the data to be rectified if it is not and we will then take appropriate action to do so.
You have the right to restrict the processing of your data or to object to the processing of your data, as well as to ask that your data (or some of your data) be erased.
You have the right to seek confirmation of the fact that we are processing your data, to ask what that data comprises, and also to ask for copies of your data.
How to exercise your rights
If you would like to exercise any of the rights please email support@steanside.com or write to us at the registered address given at the top of this Notice. We will then consider your request and action the same as necessary although in some circumstances we may have a legitimate reason for not being able to action your request. If this should be the case then we will notify you of the reason why.
If you have cause for complaint
If you have any cause for complaint, or do not believe that we are processing your data fairly or in line with our obligations as a data controller, then we would ask that you contact us in the first instance with your concerns and we will do our best to address your concerns. However, you are not obliged to do so and you may contact the Information Commissioner’s Office with your concerns whose details can be found at www.ico.org.uk
